Welcome to VideoTools. These terms explain the rules for using our platform. By accessing or using VideoTools, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
Who can use VideoTools
You must be at least 13 years old to use VideoTools. If you are under 18, you need permission from a parent or guardian. By using the platform, you confirm that you can form a binding contract under the laws of your country.
Your account
You do not need an account to use most tools. If you create one, you are responsible for keeping your password secure and for all activity that happens under your account. Do not share your login with others. If you suspect unauthorized access, change your password immediately and contact us at support@videotools.online. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
Acceptable use
You agree to use VideoTools only for lawful purposes. You must not upload content that is illegal, harmful, abusive, defamatory, or infringes on someone else's rights. You must not upload malware, attempt to break our security, scrape the platform, or use automated systems to overload our servers. You must not process content that depicts minors in a sexual manner, promotes violence, or violates any applicable law. We reserve the right to remove content and suspend accounts that break these rules.
Your content
You keep full ownership of every file you upload. By using VideoTools, you grant us a limited license to process your file solely to complete the task you requested. This license ends when processing finishes and the file is deleted from our servers. We do not claim ownership of your content, and we do not use it for any purpose beyond the task you requested.
File limits and plans
Free users can upload files up to 12 MB. Silver plan users get 50 MB. Gold plan users enjoy unlimited uploads. Limits apply per file, not per session. We may adjust limits at any time, but we will announce material changes on the site before they take effect. If a file exceeds your plan limit, the tool will reject it and show a clear message.
Paid plans and billing
Silver costs $5 per month. Gold costs $10 per month. Prices are in US dollars and exclude any applicable taxes. When you subscribe, we charge your payment method at the start of each billing cycle. Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel before the next renewal date. You can cancel anytime from your dashboard. Cancellation stops future charges, but we do not refund partial billing periods unless required by law. If a payment fails, we may suspend access to paid features until the balance is resolved.
Refunds
We offer refunds on a case-by-case basis. If a tool fails to work as described and we cannot fix the issue, contact us within 7 days of the charge and we will review your request. We do not refund for change of mind or for files you processed successfully. Nothing in this section limits any refund rights you have under the consumer laws of your country.
API access
Gold plan users may access our API under separate usage limits. You must not resell API access or use it to build a competing service. We may throttle or suspend API access if usage threatens platform stability. API keys are personal and must not be shared.
Intellectual property
VideoTools owns the platform, including its design, code, logos, and written content. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse engineer any part of the platform without our written permission. You may use the tools to process your own content and publish the results freely. You may not use our brand name or logo in a way that suggests endorsement without our approval.
Third-party links
VideoTools may link to external websites for reference or convenience. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, privacy practices, or accuracy. Visiting a third-party site is at your own risk.
Disclaimers
VideoTools runs on a best-effort basis. We work hard to keep the platform fast and reliable, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted service or error-free processing. The platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. You use the tools at your own risk. Always keep a backup of your original files.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, VideoTools and its team are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost data, or business interruption, arising from your use of the platform. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $50 if you use the free plan, whichever is greater. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold VideoTools harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the platform, your content, or your violation of these terms. This includes reasonable legal fees.
Termination
You can stop using VideoTools at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms, abuse the platform, or create legal risk for us. If we terminate your account, you can still download any remaining files within the deletion window. Sections on intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnity survive termination.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where VideoTools operates. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction, unless local consumer law gives you the right to bring a claim in your own country.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the platform grows or as laws change. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by posting a notice on the site before the change takes effect. Continued use of VideoTools after the change means you accept the updated terms.
